About Michael Maffucci
Michael Maffucci is a third generation Long Island mover that followed in the footsteps of both his grandfather and father who were prominent movers in Lynbrook, New York for more than 50 years. His father, Michael Maffucci Sr. was a pioneer in the industry, serving as president of the New York State Movers and Warehousemen’s Association in the 1960s.
Michael grew up in the moving business and learned early on that honesty, integrity and efficiency were the keys to business success. Today he is the owner and president of Verity Van Lines, Inc., one of Long Island’s largest and most trusted privately owned moving and storage companies.

After emigrating from Italy in the 1920s, my grandfather Frank started a moving company with one truck in Lynbrook, New York. My father Michael Maffucci Sr. spent his younger years working with him, and when he returned from WWII he helped build the business into Maffucci Moving and Storage.
Both my father and grandfather had been part of the group that established United Van Lines — one of America’s preeminent national moving companies. Something I am very proud of.
After working as a CPA at Price Waterhouse, I realized that moving and storage was my true calling, and in 1987 I partnered with Pete Verity at Austin Verity and Son, and established Verity Van Lines.
