Staying Positive During
the Coronavirus Outbreak
In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak I’ve decided to take a break from our normal type of post to simply remind you that during this chaotic time everything is going to be okay.
It is important that we all do our part (think social distancing and self-quarantine) to help keep ourselves and others healthy, but we can also take this time to slow down and reflect on our lives. Let’s be thankful for what we do have. Let’s be thankful for our loved ones and friends.
To stay positive and calm during this time you could start a new daily routine that involves yoga, meditation, positive affirmations and quiet time without electronics. (YouTube is a great resource for these things.) If the weather permits, a walk around your neighborhood once or twice a day would be also be great for your mind, too.
There’s no need for us to run to the stores and empty the shelves of essentials, but it is important to be realistic and make sure you have enough food and supplies for your family so that you can limit the amount of trips you make to the store. If you have to commute into work, remember to wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds (try singing the “A,B,C’s” while you wash).
